The Story of this trip

At the very beginning of the tour, you will arrive at medieval Prague and its welcoming atmosphere, the dominant Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and the famous Orloj astronomical clock. Cesky Krumlov and its castle and chateau will lead you into even deeper history, surrounded by the meandering river of Vltava. The small towns of Třeboň and Telč are truly renaissance towns.

In Moravia, explore the romantic town of Mikulov, and the UNESCO grounds of Lednice-Valtice, the Versailles of Central Europe. A number of other pearls awaits you, such as the three main centres on the Danube river: Historical Bratislava, which was once the coronation town of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy; elegant Vienna, with the dome of St. Stefan and the Schonbrunn palace harking back to the governance of Empress Sissy; and Budapest, with an astonishingly vast history and architecture legacy.

We then continue to Kosice the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia and the 2013 European capital of culture. En-route we stop in the famous wine region of Tokaj where we sample some of their best wines. Our next stop will be in the Spis region, home to a number of UNESCO sites including the medieval town of Levoca with it’s unique preserved city walls and the biggest wooden altar in the world, and the Spissky Castle, one of the biggest castles in Central-Eastern Europe.

In the High Tatras – The Carpathian mountains we will have the opportunity to walk to a number of mountain huts, tarns, waterfalls or even take the cable car to Lomnicky Peak (2634m), the roof of the Carpathians for stunning panoramic views. An area full of majestic peaks, deep valleys and rare flora and fauna including the Carpathian wolf, lynx, Tatra chamois, brown bears, eagles and others.

You´ll then transfer to Krakow, a must destination when visiting Poland. En-route, experience traditional rafting through one of the longest canyons in Europe on the Dunajec river, and visit Wieliczka salt mines a world heritage site that attracts tourists from all over the world.

The guided tour and views from the castle over the surrounding countryside is a memorable experience. After lunch in Spisske Podhradie we continue to Levoca for sightseeing around this medieval town.
